In response to a shortage of personal protective equipment an initiative has been launched across Ashford Carbonel and Ludlow to make and provide suitable garments.

Through the collaboration of a group of talented people including Jouls Elliot-Sysum, Carmel Wilson and Lisa Chapman, efforts were centralised to sew scrubs, gowns and masks.

The process was co-ordinated with various care homes and the surgeries in Ludlow. Suitable material is being sourced, through donations of things like duvet covers and sheets for re-purposing.

‘Ludlow Scrubs’ is just finishing a batch of masks for one Care Home and are about to produce masks for registered PULLING TOGETHER LUDLOW volunteers who are delivering prescriptions, shopping or children’s books.

Volunteers can request free masks with an email to admin@handstogetherludlow.org.uk along with a volunteer badge number.
