A DRIVER has been arrested for a suspected drug-driving offence after they were spotted breaking the speed limit on the M50.

Police on patrol on the motorway stopped the vehicle, which was travelling through roadworks at excess speed.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of drug-driving, while their passenger was also arrested for possession of drugs.

Arresting officers from Herefordshire's Operations Patrol Unit warned that travelling at excess speed in the roadworks on the M50 is unacceptable and puts lives at risk.
