STOURPORT is set to sparkle at an annual event to delight residents and light-up the festive season.

People will take to the streets for an evening of Christmas magic at the Three Kings Candle Lit Parade and Light Switch-on, taking place on Friday November 23 at Stourport Town Centre.

This year will see the welcome return of the traditional candle lit parade, where schools and charities will march from the Civic Centre and through town.

The Stourport Scout and Guide band will be leading the procession which will begin their march at 6pm.

The 'Three Kings' will be carried by St Bartholomew school.

A Carol Service held by local churches will serenade visitors with a repertoire of Christmas classics.

A Grand Firework Display is also set to light up the sky to amaze visitors in a showstopping spectacular.

This year, X-Factor finalist Richard Ryan from Kidderminster will have the honour of switching on the Christmas lights, alongside Mayor of Stourport David Little.

Also there at the light switch-on will be Stourport Carnival Queen Laura Potts and her attendants, Princess Gabby Evans, and Rosebud Hermione Homer, Senior Prince Zach Savage and Junior Prince Harrison Bianco.

There will also be a funfair in Raven Street car park from 4pm until 8pm, and children visit Santa Claus at the Christmas Fayre at the Christmas Fayre in the Civic Hall.
