A MAN pleaded guilty to stealing a lazy hot tub from B&Q in Kidderminster.
Jason Workman, of Mouse Lane in Kidderminster, appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Thursday (June 6), where he admitted stealing the hot tub, worth £497, from B&Q in Green Street on May 13 this year.
Workman, aged 48, was fined £120 and ordered to pay £497 in compensation plus a £30 victim surcharge and £135 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Also at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Thursday, a 38-year-old man was jailed for six months after he stole Lego from B&M Bargains in Kidderminster.
Robert Such, of Hurcott Road, Kidderminster, pleaded guilty to theft when he appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Thursday (June 6).
He admitted stealing a Lego monster truck city set and two Lego sunset track race sets worth £46 from the store at The Swan Centre on March 14 this year.
The defendant also pleaded guilty to stealing three electric toothbrushes worth £167 from Tesco in Kidderminster on April 12, washing detergent to the value of £30 from the same store on April 21, and two motorcycle locks worth £160 from Halfords on April 25.
Such was already serving a suspended prison sentence when the crimes were committed and therefore activated the remainder of his sentence.
Magistrates sentenced him to a total of six months in prison and ordered him to pay £120 in compensation.
