THERE has been chaos for rail commuters this morning after a tree came down on the line at Smethwick Galton Bridge.
West Midlands Railway tweeted a picture of the fallen tree blocking the tracks between SmethwickGaltonBridge and LangleyGreen.
It said engineers had been working hard to clear the line.
Trains were not running from stations including Cradley Heath and Stourbridge into Birmingham due to the fallen tree, caused by heavy rain overnight.

Replacement bus services have been running from Stourbridge Junction to Hagley, Blakedown, Kidderminster, Droitwich Spa, Bromsgrove and from Kidderminster to Hartlebury, Droitwich Spa and Bromsgrove as well as from Stourbridge Junction to Kidderminster, and Worcester stations.
Network West Midlands tweeted that trains may be delayed by up to 45 minutes or cancelled until approx noon.
