YOUNG and old stood shoulder to shoulder in Wyre Forest's town centres on Sunday to remember those who fought and died for their country.

Remembrance parades took place in Kidderminster, Stourport, Bewdley, Cookley and Wolverley and wreaths were lain at memorials across the district as a mark of respect for the fallen.

Kidderminster's procession started from New Road Car Park, making its way through the town centre and up to St Mary's Church, where a short service was held at the memorial and inside the church, before returning to New Road.

Stourport's started at Tesco in Severn Road and finished at the Royal British Legion in Lichfield Street.

Cookley Remembrance Day Parade started at the Bulls Head pub in Castle Road and finished at St Peter’s Church in Lea Lane, while Bewdley's set off from Stourport Road and concluded at St Anne’s Church in Load Street.

A service in Wolverley started at the town's Memorial Hall, finishing at the Queens Head pub in Blakeshall Lane.
