AN elderly man has died in hospital following a crash between a car and mobility scooter in Kidderminster on Sunday (5 January).

Clement Dalley, from Kidderminster, died yesterday (Monday, January 6) due to injuries after a blue Nissan Juke and a mobility scooter collided on the carriageway near to the A456, Crossley Retail Park.

The 78-year-old was flown to Queen Elizabeth Hospital by air ambulance following the crash.

The man was well known locally for being the owner of family business, Dalley Seeds, a seed merchant in the town.

The roads around the junction were closed from around 1pm to 5pm following the crash.

PC Scott Gee said: “Our thoughts are with Mr Dalley’s family at this time and we are keen to speak with anyone who may have seen the incident, which occurred on the ring road near to the Crossley Retail Park, at around 1pm on Sunday involving a Nissan Juke and a mobility scooter so that we can get a better understanding of what has occurred.

“We are especially keen to see any dash cam footage from the area at the time of the incident. If you have any information please call 101.”
