A 16-YEAR-OLD boy has been banned from entering shops in Stourport after a series of thefts, threatening behaviour and criminal damage.

James Evans, of the Walshes estate in Stourport, is banned from entering the Daily Stores in Queens Road and from Flamingo Arcade in Bridge Street.

A Criminal Behaviour Order, granted by police on Wednesday (January 22), also prohibits the teenager from throwing missiles at vehicles or properties and from riding a mini motorbike on any road in the Walshes estate.

Mr Evans must leave any premise when asked to do so by any person with authority, and must not behave in any way that causes or is likely cause any person harassment, alarm or distress.

This includes foul, abusive or offensive language and behaving in an aggressive, threatening or intimidating manner.

A spokesman for Kidderminster Police said: "We have successfully had a CBO placed on Mr Evans, prohibiting him from entering a number of premises in Stourport and behaving in an anti-social manner.

"This was granted after a series of incidents including theft, threatening, intimidating behaviour and damage.

"I hope the conviction and CBO provides reassurance to local retailers and local residents that police will take positive action to make our communities safer."

Members of the public are encouraged to report any breaches of the order to West Mercia Police on 101.
