AN eco-friendly dry cleaners has opened in Kidderminster which aims to offer a fresh take on washing laundry.

Wyre Forest Dry Cleaning, on Park Lane, utilise wet and dry cleaning machines as an alternative to using "unfriendly" and "dangerous" chemicals.

Owner Lisa O'Sullivan, aged 45, who runs the business with her step-dad Stephen Hill, says her cleaning service has come "at the right time" where more people are conscious about the environment.

She said: "We have got a shortage of cleaning services in Wyre Forest.

"When we looked into it, we found that wet cleaning was the way to go because it's all eco-friendly, it doesn't damage the clothes and it leaves them smelling fresher."

Wet cleaning techniques use detergents that can be washed down drains.

Suits, dresses, gowns, wedding dresses, duvets, curtains are a selection of items that can be laundered by the service. The business also offers a collection and delivery service.

Lisa also runs sister company Forest Wash launderette next door, which opened in 2009, a self service which now allows people to utilise eco-friendly washing machines and dryers for themselves.

The service includes a complimentary cup of tea or coffee, free Wifi and parking at the site.
