I'M just writing to say how disappointing and in my mind shambolic Remembrance Sunday was at Mary Stevens Park.
Not only was there not a band for the service (did anyone approach the local schools?) but the minister didn't know where or if the bugler was at the service.
I have never been in the armed forces myself but attend the service every year but left early this year becuse of what I and others thought was a sham.
Getting people to go to the service in this age of take is bad enough but when people turn up to this kind of mess, then people won't turn up next year.
I'm sorry that I've had to write this to you but I feel strongly that these heroes gave their lives for us and all we can do is give a service which seemed to be second rate at best.
Is this how Stourbridge thank their fallen?
