FIRSTLY congratulations to Stourbridge FC on the great start to the season.

The reason for contacting is my anger at the total lack of control during the club's bonfire night. I have taken my children to the club's bonfire night for the last five years, it has over the past few years become more menacing with the number of totally unruly teenagers, however this year was absolutely disgraceful, all I heard before, during and after the fire work display was foul, offensive language from what appeared drunken teenagers.

Large groups roamed the ground trying to out do other groups with who was the loudest and most offensive, I saw dozens of under age teenagers (children) drinking cans of beer, more worryingly as many were drinking from plastic glasses that can only have come from the bar.

The club had dozens of stewards on duty who did nothing to challenge these youths, indeed I challenged one steward to do something before someone was seriously hurt, the shrug of his shoulders said it all, I only saw two police officers who also failed to challenge those teenagers with drink in hand or using foul offensive language.

In fear for my families safety we left the ground soon after the firework display.

I have a really sour taste in my mouth that what was once a great family night out ,has now been SURRENDERED TO THE LOUTS WHO CAN ROAM AND OFFEND AT WILL.

The majority of my law abiding street have attended the club for years, I can tell you now , all have said they were in fear and felt intimidated that night and will never subject there children to the firework night again.

I am forwarding a copy of this letter to the Stourbridge news and to the inspector of Stourbridge police. Please can you forward this on to the club president MR HUGH CLARKE.I would appreciate a response from Mr Clarke.
