AMERICAN boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather Junior is coming to Birmingham for a Las Vegas style ball next month.

The event at the ICC Birmingham on Saturday, March 4 will see the undefeated boxer take to the stage for a Q&A session.

His proposed fight with Irish UFC fighter Conor McGregor will be one of the hot topics and the boxer will be describing his journey to the pinnacle of the sporting world.

There will also be a performance by Birmingham rapper Mist and Irish comedian Al Foran will be providing the laughs.

In keeping with the Las Vegas theme singer Russell Shaun will be performing Rat Pack and Sinatra classics.

Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Cure Leukaemia will both benefit from the event.

Mr Sohata added: “It was important to us that we benefitted charities right here in Birmingham and we are excited to be able to raise funds for them from ticket sales and our big prize auction.”

Birmingham Children’s Hospital is the UK’s leading paediatric care centre, and offering expert care to 90,000 children and young people from across the country.

Every year Cure Leukaemia helps fund the world class Centre for Clinical Haematology in Birmingham and also a network of specialist research nurses.

Tickets range from £40 up to £1,000 for a VIP package which includes a drinks reception and the chance to meet Mayweather.
