COMIC Wayne Beese is bringing his debut tour show – about life at a Black Country school in the 1990s - to venues in Dudley and Stourbridge next year.

Beese is best known for hosting shows under the Funny Beeseness banner and has acted as MC for stars including Henning Wehn, Omid Djalili, Seann Walsh, Rich Hall, Reginald D Hunter and Joe Lycett across the region in the last few years.

More recently Beese hosted 18 outdoor shows in a month on the car park at Katie Fitzgerald’s in Stourbridge, welcoming hundreds of comedy fans to see the likes of Milton Jones, Daniel Sloss and Chase quiz show star Paul Sinha.

Now the Dudley lad and keen Wolves fan has announced he will be bringing his debut solo show – titled Record of Under Achievement – to The Court House in Dudley (Thursday April 22) and Katie’s (Friday April 23) next year.

Tickets are now on sale for a special early bird price of £10 until the end of September, and can be booked online at funnybeeseness.co.uk.

Beese said: “I’m delighted to be bringing my debut tour show to Dudley and Stourbridge at two brilliant venues.

“It will contain 40 minutes of brand new material.

“It is basically a look back on my days at Holly Hall grant maintained school in Dudley, through the window of my genuine Record of Achievement I’ve kept from back then. It will also look at how life has panned out since I left the gates at 16 with my head boy badge and nine GCSEs at grade C or above.

“The way things are going it looks like I’m going to have plenty of time on my hands to write it over the next few months and I’ll be working my socks off to bring what I hope will be a great show and night out.

“The people of the Black Country have been fantastically supportive to me since we started bringing shows here and I hope they will come out once again for this one.”
