POLICE have launched a double murder investigation after two men were found shot dead in a car on a Brierley Hill industrial estate.

The men were discovered critically injured inside a vehicle parked outside units off Moor Street just before 3.30pm yesterday (September 30).

But it is understood the victims – who have yet to be formally identified – were killed at the site shortly after 1pm.

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent an ambulance and two paramedic officers but both men were pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesman for the ambulance service said: "West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Moor Street in Brierley Hill at 3.30pm and sent an ambulance and two paramedic officers to the scene.

A post mortem examination will take place in due course.

West Midlands Police have sealed off the industrial estate, put cordons in place to preserve the scene and enquiries have been underway.

Officers are urging anyone who was in the area at the time who saw or heard anything suspicious to get in touch.
