FORMER Old Swinford Hospital pupil Huw Taylor pulled out all the stops when he featured in the England Under-20 side which reached the Rugby World Cup semi-finals this week after beating Australia 17-13.
Taylor is now expected to line up for England at lock against South Africa on Monday at the Academy Stadium in Manchester where the winners will meet either Ireland or Argentina in the final.
Taylor, who hails from Claverley, followed his elder brother Ed to Old Swinford in 2007 where both of them went onto captain the school First XV.
Huw was part of the Old Swinford side who reached the Daily Mail Cup final which played against Dulwich at Twickenham.
On leaving Old Swinford after completing his A levels, Huw went onto join professional rugby side Worcester Warriors.
Old Swinford director of sport Andrew Colter said: "I'm extremely proud to have coached Huw while he was at Old Swinford.
“I will be attending the match on Monday together with other members of staff and keeping our fingers crossed England can make it through to the final."
