TIVIDALE boss Dave King insists he won't look at the West Midlands Premier League table until March.
Dale started the new year in the top spot following their 5-1 victory over Dudley Town before Christmas.
Even though their clash at Smethwick was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch last Saturday, they remain in pole position after rivals Wolverhampton Sporting drew with Wellington Amateurs.
However, King says there will be no-one getting carried away at the Beeches just yet.
"I think we have now proven we can compete with anyone in the league but there is still a lot of football to be played.
"Not a day goes by that you don't hear of another club signing players for big money.
"I won't look at the league for a few months yet. Maybe if we're still there in a couple of months we can start talking about challenging.
"I do have a lot of confidence in this squad though. They are a good bunch of lads that are eager to improve."
Dale will look to stay on top when they welcome Hereford Lads Club this Saturday (3pm kick-off).
King added: "We lost there earlier in the season and were unhappy with both our own performance and the fact we didn't get a few decisions, so we do have a point to prove."
