STOURBRIDGE can wrap up the Birmingham League Division Three title this Saturday when they head for a mouth watering winner takes all clash with second placed Rugby at Webb Ellis Road.

Just nine points separate the sides going into this likely title showdown and Stourbridge skipper Josh Banks insists his side will be giving their all.

Top of the table Stourbridge were given a jolt this week when they lost by four wickets to Pelsall.

After electing to bat first, Stourbridge found themselves skittled out for just 75 runs.

Banks struck top score of 25 while Jujhar Johal with 10 was the only other Stourbridge batsman to reach double figures.

Todd Henderson helped himself to three for 32 while Jonathan Moore with two for 12 and Tom Boyd two for 15 contributed to Stourbridge's downfall.

Pelsall didn't have matters all their own way in reply as Stourbridge seamer Dan Such snapped up a yeoman five for 30.

But ultimately Stourbridge had far too few runs to defend as Pelsall prised out a winning 79 for six in just 16 overs.

Banks admitted afterwards: "We were a bit below strength, but I'm not going to use that as an excuse.

"Pelsall bowled particularly well and I just didn't expect the wicket to do as much as it did!

Stourbridge were missing experienced opening bat Harshad Patel who is sidelined with a wrist injury but Dwayne Crossgill should return for Saturday's crucial contest.
