GORNAL based Black Country Rangers have gone five points clear on top of the West Midlands Premier Division after pulling off a 5-3 success over Shropshire side Shawbury United.
The Garden Walk side made it a magnificent seven straight league wins - with the victory over Shawbury never in doubt after Rangers raced into a 4-0 lead.
Luke Wilson opened the scoring before new signing from Hednesford Tom Hill marked his debut with their second goal.
Further strikes from Kieran Clarke and Shaun Smith effectively put Rangers out of sight.
Shawbury pulled a goal back before Matt Martin made it 5-1 when he netted direct from a free kick.
Rangers turn their attentions to the FA Vase this week when they play hosts to local rivals Dudley Town at Garden Walk.
