STOURBRIDGE have no time to dwell on their FA Cup exit as they quickly target a run in this season's FA Trophy.

The Glassboys were knocked out of the famous competition with defeat at Guiseley last Saturday.

They lost 3-1 in Yorkshire despite Luke Benbow's equaliser.

Manager Gary Hackett was proud of his team but felt the absence of Kaiman Anderson, Aaron Hayden and Robert Thompson-Brown held them back.

The trio were suspended for the clash as Stour's squad was tested to the full.

He said: "It was a very tight game against a side that is very difficult to play against.

"They are a very back to front team and are very physical.

"But for 70 minutes there was nothing in the game and at that stage if we'd have managed to get a draw I don't think anyone could have complained.

"In the end I think having those three key men suspended really proved the difference.

"Everyone that came in did really well but it just meant we couldn't change the game as much as we'd like.

"We do have a strong squad this season but you will always miss the quality those players bring.

"It has still be a good cup run for us again and we picked up some really big results against some very good sides."

The Glassboys will continue to leave their league campaign on the backburner for now as they again turn their attention to the FA Trophy this weekend.

They go to current Southern League Central leaders Kettering Town this Saturday.

"We now turn our attention to another tough game at Kettering," added Hackett.

"It is another competition that we want to do well in and we'll be doing everything we can to progress.

"We did well in the competition last season and we'll now fully focus on that.

"It is disappointing to go out of the FA Cup but we weren't embarrassed at all and we can take a lot of pride from it."

Hackett has no major injury concerns except for Jack Duggan. The defender has hit a set-back in his recovery from a hamstring injury and will now face a longer spell on the sidelines.
