A FLURRY of second half goals at West Bromwich hoisted Ludlow to third in the Warwick Printing West Midlands Division One.
The visitors took a tenth minute lead to deepen struggling West Brom’s woes as Craig Heath diverted in a goalbound effort from midfielder Andy Richards.
Richards would later repay the compliment by claiming his second from a Heath shot for his side’s fifth.
Ludlow had to wait until ten minutes into the second half to double their lead, goals from Richards and his namesake Lawrence securing a 3-0 advantage before another Richards – Stuart – turned in from a well-worked penalty corner routine for 4-0.
Gavin Hughes added the sixth from a penalty stroke.

A second-half brace from the in-form Abi Davies completed a 3-2 comeback for Tenbury Ladies at home to Harborne 3rds, to hoist the hosts up to third in Division One of the Worcestershire Women’s Hockey League.
Vicky Jones had kick-started the comeback with a goal late in the first half after the hosts had taken a 2-0 lead.
Tenbury 2nds fielded 13-year-old debutants Jane Hillhouse and Jess Aston in a 5-0 defeat to Birmingham University 5ths.
