CRADLEY have completed their line-up for the new season by handing a return to Luke Harris.

The former British Youth Champion is back for his third spell with the Heathens after proving popular with supporters previously.

Harris was the most decorated rider at the club’s 2017 Awards Night - and he is keen for further progress this year.

“Cradley is such a good club and it’s great to be back,” he said.

“The fans are always so supportive as long as they can see you’re doing your best and they’re backed in big numbers.

“You couldn’t ask for much more as a National League rider and to be part of what looks like a competitive team again is great.

“We’ve got a real solid top three who I feel I can catch up with average wise and there’s definitely potential in the three lower averaged riders.

“I was really pleased with how my season went with Cradley in 2017 and I’m confident I can build on the past few seasons this year.”

Meanwhile, club partner Gary Patchett said: “We’re delighted to welcome Luke back for his third stint at the club.

“He had a solid season with Coventry in 2018 and both he and I feel he can make strides forward this season.

“He’ll be a very solid second string in this league and has good experience of how to ride the track at Monmore.”

Heathens bosses are currently working with Wolverhampton to finalise dates for home fixtures at Monmore Green.

The club also need to agree dates for their Knockout Cup clash with the Isle of Wight with many fans already indicating they will make the trip across the Solent.

The Cradley line-up for 2019 is Max Clegg, Tom Brennan, Danny Halsey, Luke Harris, Lewis Whitmore, Harry McGurk and Tom Spencer.
