THERE was a big weekend for Worcester City Youth’s girls.

After 10 wins from 14 matches the under 18s were pipped to the Central Warwickshire League Division One crown by Pelsall Villa after a title-decider at Perdiswell.

City lost 2-0 for only their second defeat of the campaign as their opponents finished top by just two points.

The under 10s showed progress in their inaugural season by reaching the Mercian Fortis Junior League Plate final at Malvern Town against West Worcester Youth though they lost 3-0.

In the Challenge Trophy semi-finals City's reserves were blown away in blustery conditions by Moors Academy 4-0 with all the goals in the first half.

The two sides could now go head-to-head again for the Midland League title and play each other in the penultimate round of fixtures.

City boys' under 10s made it two wins in their JPL Trophy campaign as they battled back from 3-1 down to beat Kidderminster Harriers 5-4.

The under 11s remain unbeaten too after a 0-0 draw with Halesowen Town Colts.

City bowed out of the Worcestershire FA Midweek Under 18s Cup semi-finals to a late goal at Lye Town.

In the JPL Elite League, the under 16s overcame Evosoccer Bath 2-0 as Matty Patrick-Rivers and Tristan Webby netted.

In friendlies, the under 13s and 15s lost 4-3 to Stoke RTC and 2-1 to Birmingham RTC respectively.
