KINGSWINFORD'S Danny Ball will travel to Spain next month to challenge for the World Boxing Council Youth Intercontinental welterweight title.
The 22-year-old (8-0-1) takes on Jon Miguez (10-0), also 22, at the Bilbao Arena on Saturday, June 8.
Míguez won the belt in February as he defeated Ukrainian Vasyl Kurasov, also in Bilbao.
Ball’s last outing was March when he drew with Birmingham's Kaisee Benjamin for the Midlands Area title in a fight many at ringside thought he won.
“I can’t wait,” Ball said. “It’s fights like these that I am in the sport for. I respect Miguez but I’m going into his backyard to take the belt and bring in back to the Black Country.”
The show is being promoted by MGZ Promotions.
