HALESOWEN Town have strengthened their defensive options.

Rob Evans and Andy Parsons have both joined Paul Smith’s growing squad.

Centre half Evans is another of Smith’s old players from the Trico stadium having joined Redditch from Coleshill Town.

Parsons completes the centre half duo and is another ex-Redditch United player. He was at Alvechurch when they successfully gained back to back promotions.

Smith said: "Rob is a cultured centre half who won a player of the year award for Redditch United last year. Another player that fits the mould of the type of player I’m after.

"Parso brings a wealth of experience and knowledge. He is the life and soul of the dressing room. His comedy value is as important to me as his footballing ability.’’

The pair are Smith's sixth and seventh signings of the summer follow the arrival of George Forsyth, James Bowen, Jamie Ashmore, Luke Yates and Lewis Wright.
