DETERMINED Dudley Kingswinford director of rugby Neil Shillingford has promised his players a robust training session this week following their 26-12 defeat to Kenilworth this week in Midlands One West.

Shillingford said: "I've got no gripes about the result. Kenilworth are a well coached and well drilled side.

"We just didn't adapt well when we needed to. We needed to go to Plan B and didn't do it.

"It didn't help that we had a couple of refereeing decisions go against us.

"We were given a yellow card, yet Kenilworth didn't get one for exactly the same offence."

Shillingford will be more dismayed that the defeat to Kenilworth halted a winning run of form that has seen the DKs dispose of Hereford, Worcester, Droitwich and Whitchurch.

As a result, Stoke have gone clear at the top with a 100 per cent record so far.

But Shillingford points out, "Stoke haven't faced any of the top sides yet.

"But we haven't helped ourselves either, dropping a bonus point last week against Hereford and then not getting any at Kenilworth.

"We have to get back on board as quickly as we can".

DKs host local rivals Kidderminster Carolians this Saturday at Heathbrook, the Carolians having obtained promotion last season.

Shillingford added: "Kidderminster haven't made the greatest of starts and on paper it would look to be one of our easier fixtures.

"It's not about what the opposition do, but it's a case of what we do.

"Against Kenilworth, we lost our shape at times and that's something that we need to work upon.

"I will be looking for a marked improvement".

Shillingford confirmed he has a full squad to select from.
