HALESOWEN Tri got the season off to a winning start at Bishampton Duathlon on Sunday 23 Feb. 20 Over a 6k run, 26k bike, and a 3k run the weather played a huge part .Wind and horizontal rain across the open course made bike handling difficult and riders were called on to show all of the skills.
In the ladies race Felicity Lee took first place leading the race straight from the start.
With a time of 1hr32 min 57 secs she came in 21st in the whole field compared to the overall winner’s time of 1hr 14min 26 secs.
Meanwhile Halesowen Tri took the team prize with Adam Jones coming in 6th, David Mole 10th and Peter Staniland in 12th place.
A successful morning out. In two weeks time Halesowen Juniors will be going through their paces at the Burntwood Aquathlon over a variety of distances according to age.
