WORCESTER Warriors are poised to receive a “clear indication” on the extent of fly-half Jono Lance’s back issue tomorrow (Wednesday).

Lance was forced to miss Warriors’ 27-21 victory over Ospreys in the European Challenge Cup on Saturday due to the injury sustained late last week.

Solomons was unsure how long the 28-year-old would be out for until the Australian playmaker saw a specialist tomorrow.

“We will get a clear indication tomorrow on how he is,” Solomons said.

“Obviously we weren’t going to play him against the Ospreys and take a risk with him so let’s see where he is at and then we can go from there.”

Solomons was pleased to see Jamie Shillcock make his first start of the season as he notched 17 points in the triumph over Ospreys.

“Shilly is up and running so that’s good and Duncy (Duncan Weir) is around as well,” Solomons continued.

“Jono has a back issue so we have got to wait and see what the specialist says as I don’t want to pre-empt anything. I am not a doctor.”
