WORCESTER hooker Lark Davies scored a hat-trick of tries as England won 40-14 in their first meeting with Barbarians Women.

In front of 17,902 fans at Twickenham an early driving maul saw Davies dot down and Zoe Harrison convert.

Hannah Botterman wrestled her way over before Poppy Cleall had an easy run-in.

Davies got her second from a pick-and-go with Harrison’s conversion keeping up her 100 per cent record for the half as it sat 28-0.

Barbarians got on the scoresheet in the second period when Millie Wood and Fiao’o Fa’amausili crossed.

But from a rolling maul off the back of a lineout Davies' controlled presence at the back of it led to her hat-trick.

Kelly Smith dived over for the last try against Barbarians Women who were formed in 2017.

England also included Worcester's Lydia Thompson while ex-city players Danielle Waterman and Rochelle Clark started for Barbarians.
