WORCESTER Warriors prop Kai Owen makes his first World Rugby Under 20 Championship start as England face Italy on Saturday night (7.30pm).
England head coach Steve Bates has made 10 changes to his XV with Owen joining Alfie Petch and Will Capon in a new front row.
Warriors back row Ted Hill drops to the bench for the match in Santa Fe, Argentina.
England lost their opener 42-26 to Ireland and play their final pool fixture against Australia on Wednesday.
Bates said: “There are a lot of changes but we’ve picked a team that we know can be really competitive.
"I want to see the players put in a performance that they are proud of and for everyone to contribute.”
