DRAGONS' former Worcester Warriors prop Jack Cosgrove has retired from professional rugby on medical grounds aged 25.
Cosgrove, who signed in the summer, suffered a serious eye injury at a training session in October and decided to retire after specialist treatment and medical advice.
Coventry-born Cosgrove attended Coundon Court School and Hartpury College before joining Warriors academy and working his way into the senior set-up.
The loosehead prop later moved to Edinburgh for two seasons before heading south to be part of Bristol’s Championship-winning squad.
He made a few appearances for Warriors across two spells.
Cosgrove was handed his debut for Dragons in the Guinness PRO14 in October after appearing in six out of eight Celtic Cup fixtures for the region.
