HARLEQUINS have confirmed the signing of Worcester Warriors' winger Nick David ahead of the 2021/22 season.

It has been rumoured for a while that Quins were after his signature and after losing Mike Brown to Newcastle in the summer, full-back has been a position they have been looking to recruit for.

David, a product of the Three Pears Warriors Academy, has been recruited by Harlequins challenge for the number 15 jersey when England full-back Mike Brown departs for Newcastle Falcons.

“We are sorry to see Nick leave the club, but fully understand the opportunity which he has at Harlequins to play in his favoured position of full-back,” said Warriors Director of Rugby Alan Solomons.

“Nick will always be welcome here at Sixways and we wish him all the very best for the future.”

David, 22, joined the Senior Academy at Sixways ahead of the 2017/18 season having impressed playing for Warwick School.

He made his senior debut against Saracens in the Premiership Rugby Cup in November 2018 and marked his Gallagher Premiership debut with a try against Bath Rugby at Sixways in February 2020.

He scored another try the following week against Bristol Bears and has now scored eight tries in 28 appearances with the majority of those coming on the wing.

David is currently sidelined by a shoulder injury which he sustained against Bath at The Rec last month.
