STOURBRIDGE band Ten Eighty are set to headline the Dark Blue Boogaloo at Katie Fitzgerald's this Friday (October 2).

The four-piece indie rock outfit promise to have music fans partying along to their teen angst-fuelled anthems when they take to the stage for the first time at their favourite pub.

Comprising Birmingham Uni students JD Lomas on rhythm guitar and lead vocals, Alan Brownbridge on vocals and lead guitar, Simon Collins on drums and vocals and Vince Parker on vocals and bass - the band have built up a steady following since forming in January this year.

Singer JD - Josh Lomas - said: "We all joined the band to have a good time. If we are having a good time, our audience are likely to have a good time. Music is supposed to be fun, so even if you don't like what we do you can join in the banter and get something out of us."

Ten Eighty's first gig was at the Mitre back in March supporting pop punk friends Sarcastic Comment and since then they have put together an exciting repertoire of catchy, punky rock tunes - one of the coolest of which 'Twilight' is currently being turned into a single, which they hope to release towards the end of the year.
