EARNING themselves the name of the UK's finest party band, The LaFontaines will be hotting up a venue in Birmingham next week.

Just four days before releasing their debut album Class via 889 Records, the five-piece will be at the Hare and Hounds on a stop on a headline tour marking is release on Thursday, June 4.

As Scotland’s biggest independent band, The LaFontaines have always followed their own path and the album is no different. The boisterous mob took to adventuring around the world for their latest video to support the release of the debut single, King. This video will set the tone of things to come – madness on an international scale.

Talking about the record, frontman Kerr Oken said: “I couldn’t be happier with the album. We’ve spent the past three to four years leading up to this point. Everything we’ve seen on the road or experienced together as a band has finally made its way onto record. It’s guaranteed to shock those who assume we’re simply just the best live band in Scotland. There’s so much depth to these songs, a load of pain and struggle, but underlying throughout all of the writing, is some real grit and determination.”

The tour dates kicked off on May 26 and the band will be at the Birmingham venue on Thursday, June 4. Tickets are available from seetickets.com or ticketmaster.co.uk.
