A LEADING Black Country venue is kicking off its annual search for top live bands from around the region. Halesowen rockers Glass Lashes will be among the first of 54 acts to perform in the Live Band of The Year competition at the Robin 2, Mount Pleasant, Bilston.
The competition gets under way on Monday June 16 with sets from The Vants, Sam Draisey and The Razorbacks with Glass Lashes set to appear during the second heat.
Mike Hamblett, from the Robin 2, said: "The fantastic range of prizes on offer for this year's competition winners must be a great kick start to help any young band.
"It is the complete band promotion package, mix down, artwork, record deal, publishing, cash and live DVD shoot."
