BLUESMAN Ian Parker is heading back to his roots to play his part at a major Stourbridge music event.

Fresh from gigs on America’s east coast Ian is set for a hometown performance at Katiesfest 2008.

The week-long festival at Katie Fitzgerald’s, Enville Street, offers a mix of established artists and new groups which Katie’s boss Eddy Morton says will include something for everyone.

Ian will be on stage on Thursday August 28 at Katie’s Cellar Bar during an evening of entertainment which will also feature guitarist and singer Adrian Byron Burns in the venue’s upstairs bar.

Katiesfest 2008 starts on Saturday August 23 with an Acoustic Brew special.
