THE drama of theatre meets the thrill of football in a new show set to open at Birmingham Repertory Theatre.
Featuring real stories as told by Birmingham City, Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion fans, Stadium recounts their extraordinary memories and unconditional love for their teams.
Exploring football versus theatre, team rivalry, mascots, Brexit and even Peaky Blinders, the show features interviews and insights, music and songs from fans and inspirational supporters to build a unique picture of the sport and its fans and their passion for the game.
Directed and created by French based Mohamed El Khatib - Stadium is part of a pioneering three-year programme by The REP to collaborate with bold artists and make extraordinary work which celebrates communities.
It runs at the theatre in Broad Street, Birmingham, from Friday June 9 to Friday June 17.
Tickets range from £10 (subject to availability) and they are available from the box office on 0121 236 4455 or online from birmingham-rep.co.uk
