TAB Operatic Society's version of cowboy classic Annie Get Your Gun starts its run at Brierley Hill Civic Hall tonight (Tuesday March 23).

The popular Irving Berlin musical, which features much-loved songs There’s No Business Like Showbusiness and Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better, runs at the Bank Street venue until Saturday March 27.

Evening performances start at 7.15pm and there’s a matinee on Saturday March 25 at 2pm.

Fleur Petford stars as gun-slinging tomboy Annie Oakley, David Williams plays wild west sharpshooter Frank Butler and Edwin Hanke takes on the role of legendary cowboy and showman Buffalo Bill.

Musical direction is by Craig Sproston and Audree Henwood is producing and choreographing the show.

The Dudley Wood based group scooped a host of awards from Birmingham and District Theatre Guild for last year's outing - with Thoroughly Modern Millie.

Fleur Petford won Most Outstanding Female Performer for her performance as Millie, Audree Henwood was named Best Director - and the group also collected a gong for Best Chorus.

The society, which rehearses at Dudley Wood Methodist Church Hall, has also been nominated for an award from the National Operatic and Dramatic Association.
