A 24-year-old Brierley Hill man is to stand trial after he denied three serious firearms charges.
At Wolverhampton Crown Court Ashley Nixon pleaded not guilty to being in possession of a prohibited firearm - an air pistol that had been adapted to fire 9mm bullets.
Nixon, of Bagleys Lane, further pleaded not guilty to being in possession of five 9mm short calibre cartridges without a firearms certificate.
He finally also denied being in possession of a missile - a bullet adapted to expand on impact, he was remanded on conditional bail by Judge Nicholas Webb.
He told Nixon his trial was expected to last for two days and a date still had to be fixed for the hearing - set for sometime in early 2013.
