STOURBRIDGE Historical Society and the Black Country Society teamed up to launch a long-awaited new book about renowned Stourbridge benefactor James Foster.
Written and edited by Stourbridge historian Roy Peacock, the book entitled James Foster of Stourbridge 1786-1853 Industrialist and Benefactor' was published to mark the 150 anniversary of Foster's death.
Launched at Stourton Castle - where Foster lived from 1832 until his death in 1853, the book was put together by the two groups as part of the Black Country Society's commemorations for the Queen's Golden Jubilee but has only just come to fruition.
Priced £9.99, the book is available to buy from Books Unlimited, Lower High Street, Stourbridge.
