RESIDENTS can get their hands on some top gear in the fundraising raffle at the forthcoming Mayor’s Ball.

The annual event is taking place on March 22 at the Copthorne Hotel to raise funds for the Mayor’s chosen charities of the year, with donated raffle prizes this year including a giant remote controlled car.

Councillor Melvyn Mottram, Mayor of Dudley, said: “This year’s Mayor’s Ball is shaping up to be a fantastic evening, but not only that, hopefully it will help raise some much needed money for the charities.”

Tickets cost £34, which includes a four course meal, disco, singer, raffle and auction and are available until March 1 by calling 01384 815211 or emailing christine.skelding@dudley.gov.uk

All money raised will be donated to Diabetes UK: Stourbridge, Dudley and District Support Group and Dudley Stroke Association.
