New course for fledgling runners

A HALESOWEN Running and Triathlon club is offering a cut price deal for adults to get fit through running.
Cobra Running Club is offering free two week taster sessions led by experienced club runners starting on Wednesday (February 19) at Halesowen Leisure Centre at 6.50pm The first two sessions will be followed by a further eight week course aimed at getting people running five or six miles or more by week 10.
Beginners co-ordinator Andy Smith said: “Our motto is ‘Running for Fitness, Running for Fun’, nobody gets left behind, and newcomers love the welcome from what is perhaps the friendliest club around.”
The course costs £10, which will be deducted from the membership fee (normally £30) if people decide to stay on for the year.
Those that complete the 10 week course will be rewarded with a free entry into the Cobra Classic 10K race on May 18.
