A CHARITABLE Stourbridge woman is turning to old friends to help her raise funds for her latest voluntary trip to Central America.
Next month, Fae Krakowska, aged 20, will take part in a community development project in Nicaragua, but before she jets off, she needs to raise £800.
Fae will be volunteering on behalf of Progressio, a charity that sends people to work with local organisations in developing countries, alongside locals to build their ability to overcome poverty.
She said: "I'll be doing some physical work like digging or helping out with admin or in the classroom. I've always enjoyed doing volunteer work and have volunteered abroad before."
Until recently, she worked behind the bar at Katie Fitzgerald's and to help her reach her fundraising target, she has organised a charity gig at the Enville Street venue on Thursday (February 27).
Past and present members of staff will reunite and take to the stage to perform and Stourbridge artist, Paul Gittins will be showcasing his latest work.
The event starts at 8pm in the cellar bar.
Admission is £3.
