Kinver retirement flats proposal to go before planners tonight

First published in News

PLANS to convert a former Kinver garage into 38 retirement apartments will go before South Staffordshire's Planning Committee tonight (Tuesday).

Developers McCarthy and Stone have applied to convert the previous Lowes garage site at Stone Lane into the apartments.

Council officers have already recommended that the plans be refused but the developers insist the majority of residents are in favour of the proposal following a public exhibition held in 2012.

The application will be on the agenda at tonight's planning meeting, which starts at 6.30pm in the Council Chamber at Codsall.

New builds in Kinver, good luck with that one! Even though the building would be on a brown field site, the snobs won't be happy.
