RELATIVES of fallen soldiers listed on a Stourbridge church memorial are urged to come forward ahead of a special service to mark the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War.

The service will take place at St Thomas’ Church on Sunday July 27 at 6.30pm.

Valerie Homer, a member of the congregation, is eager to speak to relatives to compile information about the fallen to display around the church.

She said: “I think it would be nice to connect people with the names.”

All of the names listed at the Market Street church are available to view online at www.stthomaschurchmusic.com/wwone.

Anyone with information should call the church office on 01384 394185.
