A STOURBRIDGE man reeled in firefighters to help him make a splash with his ice bucket challenge.
Michael Morgan asked Stourbridge Blue Watch to hose him down while the icy water was poured over his head yesterday (Thursday) as he wanted his charity challenge to be "unique".
The 22-year-old called in a favour from firefighter Lee Pitt, who was happy to oblige and give his friend a soaking.
Afterwards, a drenched Michael said: "I wanted to do something a bit different and unique.
"It took my breath away and the ice hitting me from a distance felt like a strong hail storm."
The office manager not only donated £50 to the Motor Neurone Disease Association but also got his own back when he grabbed the hose and aimed it at Lee and his fellow firefighters while they accepted their challenge.
Lee challenged Dudley Blue Watch, Haden Cross and Brierley Hill Blue Watch to brave the ice buckets and added: "I can understand why people are doing it, it is for a good cause and it's a bit of fun. This is the third charity event we have supported in the last month."
