WEATHER forecasters have put the Worcestershire and the Black Country on alert for high winds overnight.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for gusts of up to 50mph which could cause disruption to travel and damage to trees.
The bad weather, which is expected to include heavy rain, will blow in from the south west during this evening (Monday) and is predicted to cause problems well into Tuesday.
The latest assessment from the chief forecaster at the Met Office says up to 40mm of rain could fall in western areas, the current yellow warning is set to be in force until 6pm tomorrow (Tuesday).
