IT’S midweek, the sun is shining and if you needed more good news, here it is - there isn’t too much disruption on the roads.

There are only a one incident to report so far this morning and that will affect motorists travelling on the motorway.

Severe delays can be expected on the M6 southbound as two lanes have been closed between J2 M69 (Coventry) and J1 (Rugby) as a car transporter is on fire.

Aside from that, traffic seems to be moving well across the Black Country and North Worcestershire but there are some ongoing roadworks to be aware of.

They are:

• A 20mph speed restriction is in place on Manor Way, Halesowen, in both directions between Hayley Green roundabout and Grange Road roundabout due to resurfacing work.

• Cradley Road in Cradley Heath is closed at the junctions with Graingers Lane and Station Street due to gas main work.

• Chawn Hill in Stourbridge is closed northbound between Grange Lane and Brook Road due to water main work. Diversions are in place.

• Mount Lane in Clent is closed in both directions between Odnall Lane and Adam’s Hill due to roadworks. Diversions are in place.

• Gas main work and temporary traffic lights are causing disruption on Chester Road North, Kidderminster, between The Rose Theatre and Hurcott Road traffic lights junction.

• Stourbridge Road in Franche is closed westbound between the junctions with Brecknell Rise and Springfield Lane because of electricity work.

• Temporary traffic lights are in place on Stourport Road, Kidderminster at the Sutton Road junction while water main work takes place.

• More temporary traffic lights are at Hanbury Road in Droitwich Spa at The Holloway junction.

• Delays can be expected on Birchfield Road, Redditch due to temporary traffic lights at the Lower Common Lane junction.

• Hanbury Road in Bromsgrove is closed between junctions with Avoncroft Road and the A38 Redditch Road junction due to roadworks.

• Gas main work is causing delays on Bridgnorth Road in Stourton at the junction of Stourton Crescent.
