A LONG established Stourton pre-school group has launched an urgent appeal for more youngsters to help it stay remain afloat.
Peter Pan Pre-School, based at Stourton Village Hall, has been looking after youngsters for more than 46 years but now finds its numbers dwindling.
Lower birth rates and children starting school at an earlier age have hit the previously popular pre-school hard.
Margaret Rogers, who helps to run the pre-school, said. "We had a very good Ofsted report and offer 15 hours a week free places for all three-year-olds and free places for some two-year-olds as well.
"We have a lovely rural setting and a large car park. But that does means parents need to have their own transport."
