A 44-year-old man has been detained by police on suspicion of terrorism offences.
The arrest comes after a European Arrest Warrant was executed in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday).
West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit arrested the man at an address in Sparkhill, Birmingham, on behalf of Spanish authorities who are investigating support for terror group Islamic State.
The force said the investigation focuses on terrorism material created for use online.
The man is due before Westminster Magistrates Court today, police added.
