A HALESOWEN schoolboy is embarking on a fundraising walk to support the charity that helped his grandfather before he died.
Dexter Roberts, aged 5, will complete Walk4life's Pound the Bounds on May 6.
The three-mile walk in Rock, Worcestershire, will raise money for the Midlands Air Ambulance, a charity close to Dexter's heart.
Dexter's grandad was treated by the air ambulance after falling off the roof of their house.
Although they could not save his life, they enabled the whole family to say goodbye at hospital before his life support was switched off.
Katie Roberts, Dexter's mother, said: "Dexter wanted to raise awareness and money to help this fantastic charity. Dexter inspires to be a doctor for the air ambulance when he is a big boy.
Dexter has so far raised £250. To donate visit justgiving.com/DexterRoberts
